I Like to Educate Myself presents a composition of actions that bring learning into practice. Different types of learning techniques are explored, such as observing by changing perspective, challenging muscular movement and testing social skills. In a society in which educational systems are highly appreciated, I want to point out the value of life itself as an educational substitute.

‘Décor achterkant décor’ (Setting backside setting) is a work which is quit invisible. Many people passed it while they were not being aware standing just in front of the work. The work looked like a partition, which was built there in order to separate the room in two different compartments. Actually it was an existing wall on which a lath construction was built, together with a door and stairs. Because of the light slipping out of the surrounded framework, an optical effect was created as if a wall was built in the room, built as an isolated object. People experienced ‘the wall’ as part of the existing space and the idea occurred that the performance was taking place on the other side of ‘the wall’ where the light was coming from.
