The work ‘eten en denken’ (eat and think) from 2007 is based on the idea of the constant flow of thoughts going through people’s minds. In a certain space an audience was gathered, without being informed of what was going to happen, and faced a woman who was eating a hamburger. The audience was listening to a spoken text through wireless headphones. This text automatically called attention to the eating woman. No one felt too embarrassed to observe her, on the contrary, they all felt connected to her mind. Of course they were just thinking being connected, because thoughts are impossible to catch
