During a 3-month residence at AHHA (Hardesty Arts Center) in Tulsa, Oklahoma McKemie and I searched for several groups to meet regularly to work on improvisation, performance and to tune in on each others playfulness. This socially oriented project, involves people from different local communities, i.e. retirement homes, center for individuals with physical challenges, teens on probation, etc. The playfulness is about what each individual has to offer as a unique person and what emerges from the dynamic of a group together.

Running parallel with the residence period the exhibition of ‘Unscripted Play’ showed video footage of McKemie and Trinks working with the groups. This in an exhibition environment in which the visitor was encouraged to touch and change the order of the items and props as much they liked.
