At Galeria Ecarta in Porto Alegre, Brazil I performed without bringing my own materials.  Instead I asked audience members to let me hold there bag for a moment.  Then I asked the person from whom I was holding the last bag if I could open it and have a look inside.  From there I asked for permission to take out the items of the bag.  Each item was displayed on the gallery floor.  I reordered the items in several categories and after that I started making a long continues line including all the items to pass through the audience and taking over the space of the gallery.  The line expanded with others audience belongings, peoples glasses had been exchanged, someones pockets had been emptied and included on the gallery floors’ collection.  The performance took 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Thoughts connected to this performance: Having audience their personal belongings exhibited in the gallery.  How does the content of ones bag visually looks, when it is all stalled out on the floor, how much space does it take and what items does it contain?  Can I use others personal belongings and showcase this for an audience?
